Tuanga Travels – Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Tuanga Travels, we strive to provide transparent and fair policies for cancellations and refunds. Please read the following carefully before making any bookings.

1. General Terms

All refund and cancellation requests are governed by the terms and conditions of the respective third-party service providers (e.g., airlines, cruise lines, hotels, car rental companies). Tuanga Travels acts as an agent on your behalf and follows the rules and guidelines set by these suppliers.

2. Non-Refundable & Special Airfares

Many promotional fares and special deals offered by airlines are strictly non-refundable, and in such cases, airline cancellation fees may be 100% of the fare paid.

Even for refundable bookings, all cancellations are subject to:

  • Airline or supplier cancellation charges

  • Tuanga Travels service fee (non-refundable)

3. Refund Timelines

  • Where a refund is applicable, the processing time may take up to 10 weeks from the date your request is processed by us.

  • In rare cases, airlines or suppliers may take longer, and Tuanga Travels will not be liable for any delays in such cases.

  • Refunds are subject to final approval by the supplier.

4. Foreign Suppliers & Currency Conversion

For services provided by overseas suppliers, currency conversion rates and international bank charges may apply. Tuanga Travels is not responsible for any losses due to exchange rate fluctuations or bank fees.

5. Supplier Default or Bankruptcy

In the event that a supplier becomes insolvent, liquidates, or otherwise fails to deliver the booked service (e.g., due to bankruptcy), Tuanga Travels is not liable to issue a refund if the supplier does not honor it.

6. Deposit Payments

All deposit payments made to hold a booking are strictly non-refundable, regardless of the final outcome of the reservation.

7. Refund Request Procedure

  • All refund or cancellation requests must be submitted via email to:

  • Requests must be sent from the email address registered at the time of booking.

8. Refund Method & Bank Details

  • Refunds will be processed only to New Zealand bank accounts.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to provide correct bank account details at the time of cancellation.

  • Refunds will only be made to the authorized person’s account, and Tuanga Travels reserves the right to verify and confirm identity before processing.
